LACN is your advocate at state, federal, regional and local government levels. Government affairs is a high priority for LACN. LACN is the voice of the industry with expert lobbying services in both California and Nevada, and with staff professionals who have more than 30 years experience in governmental affairs.

While the actions in the state capitol are important, equally important are the actions of the various state and federal  regulatory agencies. Those agencies create the rules  that affect everyone in business, and LACN is there working to ensure fair treatment for this industry.

Our objective is to minimize government intrusion into your daily business, and to provide services and information to make your business more profitable.

LACN participates in strategic alliances with other industry and business organizations to provide a unified effort in legislative actions. Frequent communications and reports on governmental affairs issues are provided LACN members.

At the federal level, LACN is represented in Washington DC through the governmental affairs program, of the National Lumber and Building Materials Dealers Association, as well as contacts directly from LACN.

Any member of LACN is invited to be part of the Government Affairs Council. Members review legislative and regulatory actions, and make recommendations to support or oppose issues and actions.
