Federal Issues

In addition to lobbying and monitoring issues at the state and local level in California and Nevada, WCLBMA also has a federal government presence. Through the government affairs programs of the National Lumber & Building Materials Dealers Association (NLBMDA) federal legislation, administration activities and regulatory actions are monitored and lobbied.

WCLBMA comments on a variety of federal issues, with emphasis on legislation and actions affecting the lumber and building materials industry, plus general business issues.

Government affairs activities of NLBMDA may be found at www.dealer.org

WCLBMA members are able to attend NLBMDA’s annual legislative conference in Washington DC, for briefings on industry issues and face-to-face meetings with members of congress.
